“The Power Is Only Half of It” – Sean Tyndall Promises Complete Performance on Homecoming

One of Ireland’s brightest young professional prospects, 20-year-old Sean Tyndall, will finally get the opportunity to showcase his talents in front of a home crowd when he makes his Dublin debut on July 10 at Leopardstown Racecourse on a JB Promotions card.

The unbeaten Bray native has made a perfect start to life in the professional ranks, compiling a record of 2-0 (2 KOs) with both victories coming across the water in the UK. Now, Tyndall returns home looking to make it three wins from three when he takes on experienced Romanian Stefan Nicolae.

Despite beginning his career abroad, Tyndall admits that fighting in Dublin is something he has been eagerly anticipating.

“It’s going to be amazing fighting back at home because there is always a big support behind me and to get to show my skill to the people that have never seen me,” he said.

The opportunity comes at a time when Irish professional boxing is enjoying renewed momentum thanks to the work of Jay Byrne and JB Promotions, who have consistently provided valuable opportunities for emerging talent.

While many young fighters map out careers based in a single country, Tyndall has a straightforward approach to his development.

“To be honest, I will fight anywhere no matter the country, just as long as I am getting fights in and I am performing well so that my career keeps growing.”

Those who have followed Tyndall’s early professional journey already know he possesses explosive power, but the young prospect believes there is much more to his game than his knockout record suggests.

“The main thing people talk about when they see me fight is the power I have in my punches, but that’s not even the half of it. I can box going forward, going backwards, switching stance—I can do all of it.”

That confidence has been further enhanced by valuable experience in elite training environments, including a training stint with Irish boxing legend Wayne McCullough. Learning alongside one of Ireland’s most respected former world champions has provided another important step in the education of the Bray fighter.

Boxing runs deep in the Tyndall family. Sean follows in the footsteps of his older brother Matthew, who also competed as a professional, giving the young prospect valuable guidance as he navigates the early stages of his own career.

Although many young professionals are eager to chase titles as quickly as possible, Tyndall remains focused on activity and development rather than looking too far ahead.

“I would like to just get as many fights in as possible right now. The goal is to get to 10-0 and when that time comes we will take it from there.”

It is a mature outlook from one of Ireland’s most promising young fighters. With youth on his side, genuine knockout power, a well-rounded skill set and ambitions firmly centred on steady progression, Tyndall appears in no rush to skip these important stages of his development.

On July 10, Irish boxing fans will get their first opportunity to see exactly why there is growing excitement surrounding the unbeaten Bray prospect. If his first two professional performances are anything to go by, Sean Tyndall’s long-awaited homecoming could prove to be another impressive step on what promises to be an exciting journey.
